Current Research

I am a PhD student at Northeastern University. My primary research is on sea star morphology; my dissertation research is understanding how the gross morphological variation on the aboral surface of sea stars interacts with vital processes efficiency such as oxygen consumption and other mass transfers.

I also enjoy collaborating on many education and biodiversity projects both in the subtidal and intertidal habitats.  As a BIPOC researcher, I am also very interested in climate justice, combating environmental racism, and human exceptionalism.
